I have received the following text"You are due to receive a refund from your Council visit our secure website to begin the process https://councilcity.co.uk/refund/"I nearly got into as I am moving houses but thanks God I got suspicious afterwards as it asked me for my bank details etc. Definitely a scam.

I got a text on on mobile saying the same thing ''you are due to receive a refund from your Council visit our secure website to begin the process...https://councilcity.co.uk......I actually put in my name and D.O.b. and address then it said 'continue' then it wanted my bank details I knew something was wrong, so used my laptop to put in the phone number to see where it came from..Then I came on here only to see few people with same scam...Thank God I stopped when I did and I deleted what I had * in....Be careful everyone...so glad this page is here to help..
